Andrea Michelle ♥

Andrea is one of my oldest & dearest friends. She is (obviously) stunning & I was honored when she asked me to take some pictures of her. This is what we came up with...

Trying out my new props...

I finally found the backdrop & accessories I'd been looking for! I love black backgrounds & the ones I bought online were too thin & not the "solid" black I was looking for. So I thought, "outside the box" and found the perfect props. So of course I had to try them out on my lil' models. ♥

♥ Catching up... ♥

I know, it's been a while since I've "blogged" but what can I say, life is busy. Between my 2 years old & my 5 month old, husband, household, friends, family & of course Photography, my blog gets put on the back burner all too often. My husband & I had a really fun date in SF last weekend. We went to a Giants game, it was so much fun & the seats were amazing. We've had a lot of Play-Dates with our friends, we even took Family Pictures, which turned out so sweet. October is my busiest month of the year! Nathan is turning 30 this year, so I am busy planning that party, my dad is turning 65 a few days later & I've had an event every weekend. I have a wedding to go to & I'm in charge of the 'getting ready' & 'reception' pictures. Doing events & pictures of children has definitely made me realize where my passion truly lies. Events are easier, that's for sure, all you have to do is capture something that is already taking place, but there is no challenge there for me. When taking pictures of children, you are truly capturing those candid moments that define a child. Those are my favorite. It may take 40 minutes of shooting to get only 8 perfect pictures, but it's so worth it. My children are hounded by my camera for about an hour a day... they have finally learned to ignore it & just go on playing. I always regretted not having more pictures of myself & my siblings growing up (I get it, times were different) so I'm making it my mission in life to document every single day in my children's lives. I think it'll be so interesting as an adult to look back & maybe gain a new perspective by looking at a childhood picture. That is my sappy vision!
